A Prevalence of Purls Shawl
A Prevalence of Purls Shawl
The inspiration for A Prevalence of Purls Shawl design was from Lovely Stitches Vol 2, an e-book by stitch designer Annie Maloney. The lacy diamond pattern includes purl stitches and 3-st cables, which create a richly textured fabric.
On the right side of the shawl is a lacy diamond texture design. On the left side are vertical columns of purl alternated with a 3-st texture design, which combine to create an elegant diagonal patterning across the shawl back.
The shawl is worked from a cast-on of 12 sts, then increased on one edge to the full width of the shawl.
